I had court in Raleigh on Friday morning (as a lawyer, not a defendant ) but nothing in the afternoon...so I identified several gun shops / pawn shops to check out on my way back to Charlotte. I was hoping to find some older Smith & Wesson or Colt snubbies. Well, I found this 1969 Colt Agent at a shop in Robbins, NC. For those who don't know, the Agent is basically an aluminum framed Detective Special. This is a .38 Special, 6 shot snub. I ran 50 rounds through it this morning...it is perfect.
It has some holster wear but inspection revealed that it has been fired very little. It locks up tight like a Colt should.
Here it is with the 2008 Colt New Agent, a 3" 1911 which is really not related in any way...I just thought that it would be a cool picture.
Somebody scratched 13/C99-1375 into the inside of the top strap beneath the letters WMG. This may be a criminal case number. Any ideas? It looks more like a case number than a badge number or something.
