one of the 31 (i recall it was 31?) pictures mailed into NBC was shown on NBC, it was 50 round pack of nickle-coated brass 9mm Federal HST ammo......the picture was of a 50RD pack in styrofoam

how do i know??.....i guess working in 2 gunshops, looking at and owning all the exotic ammo over the years, and growing up buying same.........

98% sure it was Federal HST ......absolutely could NOT have been gold dot, NOR quick-shok....NOR hydra-shock Federal, ....nor Speer Gold dot.....nor etc etc etc..absolutely could not have been Rem Golden-Saber either.

make that 99% certain.

Federal HST is (supposed to be) sold only to Police Depts...most of it in all calibers was released to the public gunshops months ago, and was priced pretty cheap for high-end defense ammo goes, and sold out rather quick...some odd boxes are still out there here and there im sure.... i have a ton of this HST ammo in .45 ACP...

9mm HST ammo has a certain "look" both to the pack it comes in , and the nature of the profile of the bullet head, and cavity of the HP hole....this is why im so absolutely certain as to the ammo in the shooters picture he mailed to NBC

yes..the picture was a tight CLOSEUP taken by the shooter of his box of ammo, which is , only obviously and presumably the very same he used on his victims.

now the anti-gun nuts, with the "ammo" of that picture, will not only call for hicap bans, but also "evil hollowpoint ammo" bans....:scrutiny:

In your eagerness to get integrated into this forum, you are stating some things as fact rather than your opinion--and that can make for rather contentious discussions that veer off-topic:

Here, you say that 'HST' ammo "...Federal HST is (supposed to be) sold only to Police Depts...most of it in all calibers was released to the public gunshops months...."

That statement is either company policy, or state / local law; I do not see how it is relevant here--unless you are trying to identify culpability in the firearms community. Your point is--what?

Think twice, write once--and consider editing when necessary.
