From bottom to top: CVA Wolf .50 cal muzzleloader, .22 Winchester model 190, Savage .22, .12 gauge Remmington 870. Tell me what ya think.

Im trying to figure out what one I like the most. The Remmington .12 gauge is a well rounded gun, I love the feel of it. The .22's ....well how could you not like .22's? But I like the scope on the savage but the vintage feel of the winchester with open sites. I really cant say much about the CVA because I just got it and havent shot it yet. But holding it up it has a nice heavy barrel and break open barrel for easy loading.

A little report on the Wolf.

Went and shot it today, loaded 100 grains of pyrodex pellets a 145 grain aerotip bullet and a winchester 209 primer. At 70 yards its kinda hard to see the paper (yeah I know, sight it in at 30 yards, it wasnt my idea to start at 70) but the recoil wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. It wasnt as bad as the 870 with 3 inch shells. The sights need to be sighted in a little better (high at 30 yards) but it was too cold to mess with it.

So all in all not a bad gun for the price. I look forward to taking a deer with it next year.

Its a shell holder that holds 5 shells. You are lookin at the back in that picture. It doesnt fit quite right, thats why it shifted forward and I didnt notice it untill I put the pictures online and then it was too late. Im going to try to find a way to sew it closed on the front to keep it from shifting.
