i have seen so many post about M1's and i was thinking about getting an M1 carbine i was wondering if people could please send all your best pictures of all of your M1's. new....old all are welcome, not only limited to carbines. kinda just want to see how many are out there:rolleyes: and how purdy some are:D .

Well, I dont have an M1 carbine yet, but since you said "not only limited to carbines", here's my CMP Greek FG M1 Garand to get the thread started.

I picked up a 1944 Inland M1 Carbine several weeks ago but becasue of lots of business travel I didn't get to shoot it until yesterday. Tried out 5 different handloads and found a few that look promising.

What a hoot of a little gun to shoot! Reasonably accurate, 100% reliable and even the 30 round mag seems to feed flawlessly (appears to be an aftermarket). I'm going to enjoy this one and I'm looking forward to teaching my wife and kids to shoot it also (my wife recently surprised me by asking to teach her to shoot...15 years of marriage and she has shown no interest...until now )

Anyway, I couldn't be more proud and happy. Here is "little brother with big brother" (a 1939-manufactured, 5-digit SA Garand I got from the CMP several years back).

Here he is alone and then with a close up.

iamkris

i heard that there was some problems with feeding on the m1 carbines if it wasnt a 15 round mag

"...handloads..." 110 grain HP's with IMR4227 works well out of mine.
The aftermarket 30 round mags can have feeding issues. The one 30 rounder I have needed the mag lips tweaked open a tick to get it to feed reliably.
Don't have any pictures of my rifles. Not all carbine stocks will be as nice as iamkris' either. How pretty they get depends on the wood.

Here is a pic of one of mine......

It's my test gun, I currently have an old Buffalo Arms barrel on it for test and evaluation. The old BA barrels shoot rather well.

Here's my 2.3 mil. M1 Garand, formerly the ugliest rack grade known to man, reborn by Dean from Dean's Gun Restorations.

All USGI with a Barnett-Douglas JCG-Match legal barrel.

It gets passed on to the first kid to get into Annapolis....and if they both get in, the first to pin on the EG&A.

Here is My Garand and Carbine. The Garand is made by Springfield Armory and the carbine is a civillian version made by Universal. Both are very nice shooters.
