Pile of CG ammo, might make a good desktop background?

I've been experimenting with a new piece of software for the last couple of days, and made a big pile of virtual .223 cartridges to test it out. There's no headstamps on the brass, and the raytracer went berserk while doing the reflections, but it might be an okay desktop, if anyone wants it:

Bigger version is here.

Kinda reminds me of the opening and closing sequences of "Lord of War" where Nicholas Cage is giving his monologue standing in this massive field of spent brass.

Strat81, you read my mind. Lord of War was what gave me the idea. :D

You're right about the lights Oleg. But the thing is, the advanced lighting and rendering engine take a looong time. There's 1280 triangles per cartridge and 400 of them in the scene, so even with a directional spotlight and the default engine, it took about 10 minutes to render. I had tried it with all the fancy stuff turned on a couple of times, but waiting 20 minutes for a preview each time I changed something got painful. May give it another try later though.

As for the software, it's 3ds Max 8. I'm just trying to learn my way around the Reactor physics module for it.

And, yea, annealing marks would be nice. As would a cannelure. And maybe green and red tips. The cartridges are just a lathed line drawing and procedural materials at the moment though.
