My wife has finally given me the go ahead to purchase a Garand! We're planning a trip to the North Store from St Louis over Memorial Day weekend (yes the store is open). I'm hoping to find a decent Field Grade as I have heard that Service Grades are scarce. As long as it's a shooter I'll be happy. I've recently returned to shooting sports after a long hiatus (about 20 years). So far I've been having a blast with my GP-100, and trap shooting with my Rem 1100. Now looking forward to to getting back in touch with my Rifle side. Most of my rifle shooting was in the Army with the M16A1, though I shot the M14 in ROTC back in college. Now I'm anxious to see what a REAL rifle does. I'm psyched!
