Those of you who followed my very special Colt Police Positive Secial thread knows I had a few issues with it. The towering front sight I shaped down to a more realistic sight picture although I still have to use a more "combat" not traditional six o'clock hold at 15 yards with a bit of the blade above the notch with the standard 158 grn SWCs I got from a buddy who reloads for his older revolvers.
It grouped well at 15 yards (all in the black except for 3 low sighters to get the sight picture) for the second time firing it due partially the substitution of some smooth imitation black mother of pearl grips . Yeah i know what Gen. George S, Patton said about pearl handled grips . They fit me (and the pistol) fine however.
The RO was amazed that I could shoot that snubby that well at 15 yards. No pics of the targets but here is a pic in her new grips on top of my favorite trench coat.
BTW the pen knife is gold inlayed (yellow and pink and dates from roughly the same time frame and the Colt (1920s).
