Over on Combat Carry, there's an interesting thread about pink guns: http://www.combatcarry.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=24225

That thread reminded me of a post on the AnarchAngel blog awhile back: http://anarchangel.blogspot.com/2006/08/where-are-all-pretty-guns.html

We have several members of THR who have done pink gun projects for ... well, usually for other people, certainly not for themselves, oh no no no noes ... ;)

Anyway. Tx1911fan and his daughter created a lovely, tasteful pink-and-black Buckmark (picture: http://www.thehighroad.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=55562&d=1175049639), which he discussed in this thread, over the usual chorus of manly protests.

I know there have been a couple of guys who've created pink rifles for their daughters. And I think that's a very good trend, and would like to see photos of everyone's projects.

Post 'em if you've got em!

pax, I was just reading this thread over at www.sigforum.com that had links here and here.

I don't mind the pink GLOCK, although I'd prefer it not be camo - it's really the grip reduction and stippling that would be the deal-breaker for me. :D

Thanks for the links. :) I am a big fan of grip reductions on Glocks, for those with small hands. The stippling, eh, not so much.

Biggest complaint for me with that one is that I would rather see a more moderate pink, more into the mauve spectrum, rather than the shocking-bright Barbie doll color. Just my personal eye.

More?

I was going to say, try MadMike. His daughters have some nice pink and purple ARs and Oleg has done nice pics of them. But you probably already have those. ;)

Edit: I stand corrected. MadMike only has one daughter. The other one is hso's. Just don't let my daughter see these. I'll get, "Why don't I have one of those," again. :uhoh:

The pink gun continues to get compliments galore. It turns heads everytime we go to the range.

EAA used to import Witness pistols that came in bright blue, purty pink, lime green... Whatever happened to them?

hso ~

Definitely. :D

These aren't guns for guys. They are guns for girls, often youngsters. Future of the RKBA and all that. Deal with it ...

pax, my daughter got a pink gun when she turned 5, but it was just a crickett. i almost did an AR project for her for christmas this past year (she just turned 9) but decided to build a volquartsen for her instead. maybe two years, i'll do the AR15 project for her.

whitetiger7654,

That's about the prettiest pink&black Glock I've ever seen. What a great gift!

Good looking girls you got there. Keep teachin' em like I am doing with mine. To each his/her own on the color of guns. I am sure I'll have to paint one pink one day too.
