I have been told that a gun shop near here is getting in a shipment of pink ladies. I do not know much about these guns. I am not even sure of the caliber. All I know is that it is a nearly all pink handgun.

Has anybody ever heard of these. I am going to go look at them tomorrow. I have never bought a handgun before, but as much as my wife likes her Harley Davidson, I know she would prefer a gun to jewlery for Valentines Day. I just do not want to buy her garbage,

Thanks

The "Pink Lady" is made by Charter Arms. Charter has undergone several changes in ownership over the years, and quality has varied. Their newest owner is MKS Supply, the folks who own Hi Point firearms. If nothing else, I do know that MKS absolutely stands behind their lifetime warranties. The shop where I work has just this month decided to give Charter revolvers another try now that MKS owns them. Until we sell some, and get some feedback from customers I can't give you any specific advice on them. http://www.charterfirearms.com/products/Charter_Firearms_products.html

If you want a proven gun with pink accent, try tracking down one of these from Smith & Wesson:

A buddy of mine just bought one for his wife. It's got a nice, tight action to it and the trigger pull SA isn't horrible- nothing great mind you, just not horrible. DA it feels like someone filled it full of sand and you about need a mule team to pull the trigger.

Funny thing is he and I couldn't hit with it for squat. 130 grain .38spl, i was throwing 10" patterns single action and 12" scattered DA from 15 yards. He was shooting about 12" SA and kept 4 on the paper DA. This was a shaming as he and I both can keep our respective personal guns to 6" at 25 yards consistently.

He hands his wife the revolver and she promptly puts down a nice round 4" pattern at 15 yards SA and a loose 10" DA and she was able to do that for the 25 rounds she put through it :what::D

We were thrilled , but amazed all at once. Thing is, even with a nasty trigger the gun fit her well and that's what made the difference. Her grip on that thing looked like me grabbing onto my N frame, and honestly I doubt she'd ever fired anything that actually fit her, she's TINY and the only handguns she'd every shot were 1911's, N frames, and a taurus 5 shot 44 mag (shooting light 44 spl handloads).

Do i think it would hold up to shooting all day, everyday? No.
Would I carry it if I needed an affordable, lightweight .38 for occaisonal use? Absolutely.

I have a CA Pink Lady in my collection. Very well manufactured and detailed firearm. The pink is anodized onto the alloy frame. Nice contrasting with the stainless barrel, cylinder, and screws. Aso in Gold, red, blue, and black aondized finish.
I also own a CA South Paw too. Stainless and kinda neat as it is the only Left Hand revolver out there.
They are not SA&W but theuy are way less $$ and work as a gun should.

ssshhhh!!!enough of this pink talk, if my wife gets wind of this she will want one to go with her pink spyderco.

I really wanted one of these when they were calling it the "Pink B**ch". But, alas, they changed the name and I no longer wanted it.

I am not a complete idiot!

I would not buy my wife a new toothbrush unless she was there to pick it out.

I had a Charter Undercover DAO 38spl. It shot well and when a little Lady I know needed a Cary Gun I let her try it. She loved it and she all so shot it very well. I no longer own a Charter Arms 38 but, I do miss it. I loose more stuff that way.

Hey let's not forget those nifty pink grips that 2RCO sells. --They actually have been our number one best selling color for 4 years running. Check out WWW.2RCO.COM

Sorry for the shameless plug but hey I gotta pay for the Gun habit somehow!

LOL

Thanks all, my wife decided she liked the feel of a smith and wesson 38 spc better

Not a surprise.

While I have more firearms from other makers and I do like them, there are only three kinds of lightweight .38s I'd even consider buying.

A Smith and Wesson, a Smith and Wesson, or a Smith and Wesson.

Check out the Taurus line too, I got a pink revolver with black pearl grips for my little sister in .17hmr for her first handgun.

I spent quite a bit of time on the Taurus site and could not find a pink revolver. Any idea of the model number, or any other specs I could use to narrow my search.

Thank you

They look neat when you add the state football team logo to the grip.
