Also, I wanted to see if there was interest in attending a pistol instructor course that we are putting on the Seattle, WA area. Information is as follows:
The Pistol Instructor Course prepares the qualified firearms instructor to teach the fundamentals of operating, employing and maintaining the pistol. Upon successful completion of this course the individual will be able to certify selected individuals according to the standards set forth by Trident Concepts, LLC. This course stresses high intensity and realistic shooting tactics, techniques and procedures with a pistol. The individuals will conduct extensive range training drills used to reinforce correct shooting performance followed by instructing technique.
The emphasis will be on developing conditioned responses to shooting as swiftly as the operator can get solid, repeated and rapid hits, maximizing economy of motion in their technique. Graded targets throughout the course will provide feedback on the skill level development with every round being accounted for (100% of the rounds must hit the target) with 80% hitting the target zones.
The course is designed to provide the necessary skills for teaching the fundamentals of successful pistol shooting techniques against complex targets versus time and accuracy, by developing quick and conditioned shooting skills. The instructor candidates will then undergo group paced instructional development training to better their ability to facilitate
the transfer and application of the critical skills. They will act as students and instructors for one other as they better their overall technique.
