Pistol weight in ounces: When does it get heavy?

It is inappropriate for some business and casual attire if for no other reason than it is conspicuous.
Depends on the belt. I've got a new carry rig on the way and plan on wearing it even with a suit.

Please post a photo when it arrives. In the mean time, remember their are suits and then their are Suits. I would be surprised to find a gun belt that is appropriate with my Brooks Brothers or Canali Suits. I hope yours will be.

This is a preliminary shot from the maker. It will also have a 5" 1911 holster and mag pouch. Now if I can just get Allen Edmonds to make me a pair of Strands in black elephant.

Sold my Nano and got a Kahr P380 because I felt the Nano to be too heavy for pocket carry. That is just my personal situation. The question is very subjective to the individual.

Conspicuous in our rural county would be the lawyers in their Mercedes Benz and BMW automobiles whizzing by going to the County Seat on Court Days. That's our occasional glimpse of business attire dress.

Most people are so wrapped-up/preoccupied in their own little biospheres that their powers of observation are nonexistent to marginal at best. I’ve observed open carry in such places as fast food establishments and would you believe a Barnes and Nobles book store that didn’t cause a general panic. I’ll allow that it could be problematic in Durham, Raleigh, and etcetera.

So going back to this weight thing I’ll either have a MP9 or MP9c with an additional magazine for daily concealed carry thus interacting with the public at large with no problems.

With a good belt and a holster that fits the pistol not a problem . I do have a Uberti Walker that would be a problem (over 5 pounds )
