Plastic Cased .223

my concern would be how well it would hold up after the chamber starts geting hot hot hot.

A local gunshop had some of that a couple years ago. I saw the remnants left at the range. Several separated case heads.

I saw an ad for the auction of all their equipment and remaining components weekend before last. I don't think they are still in the ammo biz.

It was a good idea the execution did not live up to the expectations though.

It was lighter than regular cased ammo and dent resistant. But some shooters had problems with the bottoms of the cases being torn off during extraction though. I never shot it myself but my buddy did, he never had a problem with it.

Natec had plans to make ammo in .308 and .50 cal. The latter would have been interesting to see. Anyone know if they did?

The plastic/brass cased ammo is not for use in fluted chambers (ie HK's) and if you notice is more expensive than brass cased ammo. You also loose reloadability. Later, I'll dig out my spent cases and show you what they look like after firing.
