A week or so ago I was reading something about a Company that makes plastic moon clips. Old age is catching up with my brain and I can't find the article now. Can any one help me out with the source of the plastic moon clips?

Yup.

Do a search on that word (Rimz) here on THR, you'll find several reviews, mostly VERY positive with some possible gotchas that are easily coped with.

Minnesota,
If you try these in your 625, how about a report on what you think. I don't believe that I'll give up the full moon steel ones, however; I'll keep an open mind.

minnesota oldie,

The RIMZ clips work great. I use them alll the time in my 325.

The polymer clips just seemed appropriate for the Sc/Ti gun.

Hello everyone.

I would like to take this time to bring you up to date on our development efforts. We are in the process of releasing our RIMZ 25 clip. This clip is designed to fit the 625-3 and older .45 ACP revolvers such as the Model 25, 1917 Smiths and 1917 Colts. In fact, Brownells will be carrying our product line starting with the RIMZ 25.

Later this summer, we plan on releasing a RIMZ clip for the S&W 646. We have been getting a lot of phone calls and emails about it.

To date, there have been two "New Product" features written about the RIMZ clips. The features have appeared in Guns Magazine and American Handgunner. We have been informed that Wiley Clapp is writing an article about the RIMZ clips. I believe that it is to appear in either American Rifleman or as part of an article on the S&W 325 in Combat Handguns.
