Pleasantly surprised today by a Sigma

I have a 9ve and a 40ve and consider them both to be nice carry guns. Mine ride in a Don Hume H715 IWB holster. Go bang everytime weapons and the trigger has been no problem.

The Glock trigger and the Sigma trigger are not even close. Sigma is a 10 lb trigger, vs the Glock's 5 lb.

And if a Sigma .40 is the best shooting gun you own I would hate to see the rest of the collection.

That said it does still have its place and its reliability is proven. Certainly not the worst gun out there.

im so glad it has your approval.

Lame.

ITs a fine gun, especially for the prices you can snag it for. 300bux is a great price and the gun works fantastic. I have 3 now, had 4... they are around the house and they shoot very well. Trigger is way over exaderated and is pretty decent really.

you could always do the "free trigger job" on it, works fantastic!

What's lame is a bunch of guys sitting around affirming each other's purchase of a very mediocre pistol and then quickly thumping on any dissenting voice.
Eg this guy.
Elvishead: Don't like it?
Don't buy it!
And shut your pie hole.

I never said it was a piece of junk. I even gave it the benefit of the doubt estimating its stock trigger pull at an optimistic 10lb. But you guys make it sound like it is a freakin awesome firearm. Its a good value for the money, its reliable, its trigger sucks. And that is the general consensus out there. That isn't just a viscious rumor started by a bunch of Sigma haters. Smith and Wesson chose safety of a heavy pull over the additional accuracy and speed a lighter trigger pull can facilitate. Thats fine for some. For myself, I've been doing this gun thing for a while now and don't need a 10lb trigger to keep me from having an AD. YMMV.

Guys guys guys, if you want to dictate your self with by what chunks of metal you own, there are other threads for that. (and to be clear, that sentence was directed to neither and both sides of the argument)

I started this thread to say that it's a good pistol, period.

Please keep the butt hurt, and such things out of my thread.
