it's an article (and poll) about the possibility for the Swiss militia men to let their main weapon (SiG550/P220) at the arsenal in between their day of duty, instead of keeping it at home..
You might think this is a good idea, but we don't. 1st of all, if you cannot for safety reason, keep your gun at home, you can already dispose it in a federal arsenal for less than 50$ a year, so if there is really a risk, a sound person would do it already.
Then, it has already been done one year ago in Geneva, and costed 250 000$ to build/install, and so far, only 300guns were brought in, for more than 10 000 issued assault rifles in the Canton.. So as you see, it is very expensive, and useless, since most of us don't want to wast time going to pick up the gun, and bring it back each time we are on duty..
Last point, no doubt that, when all those places would be ready for our guns, the leftiest would not only offer us this possibilty, but would force us by law to bring these guns there.
The proposition has already been accepted by petition, and we will anyway vote on that in the next 2 years.. But we must already show the anti that we are strong enough to refuse such a thing..
After the issued guns, they will surely go after our privately owned guns... In fact, how can our government restrict our access to private owned guns while he at the same time give us one...

and if somebody think this is not an honest thing for an american to vote on a Swiss poll, i'd just remind you that anti do not care a S*** about honesty when it's about pushing their own agenda !
