I posted this here because of the huge amount of activity.

Everyone, please visit the links below and vote. There is power in numbers, whatever we can do in order to preserve our rights.

Please take these polls so we can show the people in DC that citizens have the right to own firearms.

Here is the first poll: http://www.nbc4.com/politics/1403843...=headlineclick
Under the 2nd paragraph you will see in Blue lettering (Take Survey) click on that and you can then take the poll.

Here is the 2nd poll: http://www.myfoxdc.com/myfox/
Go to the middle of the page and then to the far right under seen on TV.

Nice poll numbers...:D

I did think it pretty interesting how obscurely the NBC poll was hidden though. Almost like they didn't want to see the answer... :scrutiny:

Grrr.....

Stop posting live links in your 'hit this poll' posts!

When you click on one of those links, NBC will see that it originated from a gun site, and dismiss all results from that site. Pretty much all the major news outlets have done it at some point.

Enfurno, edit your post, and make sure to uncheck the option at the bottom where it says 'Automatically parse links in text'. This forces people to copy and paste the link, which means the people running the poll don't know where that person's vote came from.

COPY AND PASTE THIS LINK: http://www.nbc4.com/politics/14038432/detail.html and then click on 'take survey'.

Live links are OK... just make sure to instruct folks to right click the link, hit "copy shortcut", right click the address bar, and hit "paste." That way there's no trackback to THR.

HAHAHA The NBC poll allows you to keep voting as many times as you like.
I placed 20 votes.

Vote early | Vote often!

Can you 'right click and open in new tab'? Does that do the same thing as pasting in new?

edit: I think PAshooter answered my question.

Its the same as clicking, but just opens it in a new tab. I'm pretty sure the referrer information is still sent.

Here's the Fox one.

You guys really need to start posting these as simple text just like the two posters above me did, instead of inserting them as links so people are forced to cut and paste them into a new window. I am sure many people simply click on the links without reading or thinking.
