As you can see the bullet came lose from the casing and locked the cylinder up. Some guy at the range tried to pull the bullet out with needle noses but that didn't work as you can see. I'm going to take it to a smith in the morning but if there is something I can do I rather do that.

You might try drilling it out. Or drill and tap it to where you can get a small bolt in it and then try to pull it. If you drill go very slow so you don't heat it up to much. When you get through the bullet flood the powder and primer with wd-40 and that will make them inert. Or drill a hole through the bullet spray with wd40 and then try to hammer the bullet back in using a wooden dowel.

Definitely a peculiar problem!

I'd be inclined to brace the cylinder ear against something solid, padded with a piece of soft, clean leather, then set a short length of dowel against the protruding bullet, and tap-tap-tap-tap-tap it back into the cylinder bore. Pounding on it might well bend the crane.

If the round was hand-loaded, I'd re-crimp the entire batch.

I got it thank god... I filed the end of the bullet down enough to let it out.. It wasn't hand loaded it was remington factory ammo.

This can happen with very light guns and heavy recoil. Do not use Remington ammo or at least use some other kind. And check the crimp.

Instruction Manual

Smith has a whole section in their lightweight revolver manual about checking crimp on ammo you are going to use.

Ran through the procedure on my 329pd to come up with ammo that wouldn't do THAT . . . .

I think they say to fire 4 rounds and check the 5/6th to see if it slipped it's crimp

I did that and then left those two in and fired 5 more to come up with a list of acceptable ammo.

Yeah I read that, It said to fire 4 and check the fifth. The one that is stuck is the fifth one:neener:
