The first three batches of 30-06 Danish ammo I ordered came in bandoleers and en blocs. The last batch came in original Danish 30-rd boxes, with the following markings. (Legends are printed in black ink; items within < > are stamped with purple ink):
====================================
HÆRENS MATERIELKOMMANDO
------------------------------------
30 stk.
7,62 mm skarppatron M/48
FMK- og styklistenr.: 121.51-111
Ammunitionspart: < 04-AMA-72 >
Krudtparti: < R(1,1x0,75x0,35)68H11 >
Patroneringsdato: < 20-3-72 >
----------------------------------------
AMMUNITIONSARSENALET
=====================================

Anyway to tell the bullet weight from the above?

Thanks!

Alex

Additional information:

I bought this last batch from SurplusAmmo. According to them, as well as the previous I have bought (more recent ammo dates) from other vendors, they are supposed to be 150 gr. I just wondered if this information is provided by the legends on the box.

By the way, the top of each box also says, in red printed letters:

=============================
ADVARSEL!
,,Ma kun anvendes 17,62 mm GV
M/50 og 7,72 mm GV M/53 (17)"*
=============================

Alex

My copy of Peter Labbet's book "Military Small Arms Ammunition" says that Dutch M/48 ball is identical to US M2 ball, so it SHOULD be 150-grain FMJ with a flat base. HTH.
