Please Help Stevens 820 shotgun

PLEASE HELP!!!

my father, inherited a really old shotgun and loves it. he would love some more information on it.

Its a Stevens Savage arms company, made in Chicopee model 820. 12GA. there is nothing stamped on the gun, except for a letter F (besides the STEVENS and model number logo). could anyone help me date this or give any information on it? its got the Faux wood Tenite foregrip, and is in fantastic condition. I'm very impressed in the gun and he has been using it with low brass shells for hunting bunnies and is super impressed with it.

The "F" probably stands for full choke if it is stamped on the barrel. The Tenite buttstocks were know for cracking, if yours has a wood buttstock it is most likely a replacement.

Guns America has several with wood stocks that look original - I guess it depends on when it was made

Its got a wooden butstock with the plastic foreend.
