please help with mossberg 500

ok so i finaly bought a strap wrench set from lowes, the good kobalt brand.anyways i still cant break the mag tube loose the wrench slides to much. i sprayed alot of breakfree on the reciever/tube threads, i havent heated it up yet but any ideas?

Its locktited in there with the blue version. Gonna have to gently heat it and then use your strap wrench.

holy **** i just got it im so excited, but to give you an idea of how tight it was it put little cracks in the rubber of a brand new high quality strap wrench

Years ago I just used a pipe wrench...I'm not sure if it had locktite on the threads or not though.

Cleaning or replacing with another?

6 months old means it has the locktite FOR SURE. You'll want to use a PADDED vice on the receiver, and be EXTREMELY careful not to torque or dent that tube, because you might need it again at some point. try to get a good hold on it on a more solid part. Oh, and make sure you get another barrel for the tube length if you're changing to a different sized tube.

i just did it for cleaning it had surface rust inside. i did it with the stock between my boots no vice but that would of made it easier.

Hold it upside down with the tube pointing down and the receiver up and propane heat the tube about an inch below the receiver. When it smokes, the threadlock is burnt. Unscrew it.

Damn, that sounds familiar. Wonder where I heard that?

Hmm....this reminds me that my tube spring is rather weak...

my feels pretty weak too, i wanna get a wolff spring, but i got the 7+1 shot model, so i think it would be a little weak/short cuse they make 6+1 springs
