One of my local (Denver) news agencies is running a poll on gun control opinions at the moment, with several loaded questions on this issue (to me, it seems as if they are trying to push the uninformed into voting for gun control).

It is a pivotal time here in Colorado, as our "red" state has turned "blue", and a new group of politicians are trying to decide how to address the push for gun control. An overwhelming "no gun control" vote certainly can't hurt our cause.

We're winning by an overwhelming majority at the moment, but I'd like to keep it that way:

Interesting how virtually every poll I've seen contradicts what The WH is claiming about public opinion.:uhoh: Certainly isn't the first time this has happened with this administration.

I can't believe they said: "military style, rapid-fire guns." *** is "rapid-fire? I'm pretty fast with my 870. The average person probably hears this and thinks "machine gun."

I'm pleasantly surprised at the number of "opposeds." Is the readership of this page mainly conservative? I'm guessing so, if it's fox news.

Personally, I feel the video game industry/movies needs to be regulated because the parents aren't doing so. Kids see over 10,000 killings by the time they are 10 years old! With video games they participate in killing, maiming etc that much or more. How is that healthy? Otherwise I voted against more gun laws.

Good results.

On the side, another good poll, though unrelated to gun control.

How concerned are you right now about high taxes and excessive government regulation?
79%
Very concerned

I was just reading that there is new legislation being proposed to put trackers in our recycle bins to see how much we are recycling.

The over reach of this ever growing .gov is out of control. MD is passing law that the owner of ANY dog that bites is automatically liable with out court action. (they already have this law in place of pits)

Done, and we’re still in the lead. I worry about Denver. It’s somewhat anti-gun now and I’ve no doubt they’ll make it worse if they get the chance.
