So I have a 6mm Creedmoor. I am currently feeding it a steady diet of Barnes Precision Match ammunition that utilizes the 112 gr Match Burner bullet. This has been a great combination for the gun shooting the best group I have ever shot with any gun. (.38 MOA 5-shot group @ 200 yards) When I am done playing with that I will have a nice stock of decent brass to start reloading with. I need to pick out a good bullet suitable for hunting. Mostly coyotes and other varmints but I would like one sufficient for deer also. I want as high as BC as reasonable. With the Match Burner I have shot out to 1000 yards with it. I would like to still reach that far, or as close a reasonable, with whatever new bullet I choose. Though I would not shoot deer that far, and probably only targets at beyond 500 yards.

103 eld or the heavy Berger hunter, can't remember the weight on that one but yes it's an answer to your search. Also worth mentioning is the 90 gr tgk and 95 Bergers for really stretching a 6mm.

Looking through the internet, the heaviest huntng bullet in 6mm I can find is 105 grains. That bullet has a sectional density of .254 by my calculations. The 112 grain bullet shows .271 SD about the same as a 180 grain .308 bullet. That is about it.

It certainly does not have to match the weight of the 112 gr Match Burner bullet just be relatively heavy for caliber rather than light. The 112 gr Match Burner has been a very good bullet for my rifle but terminally it's pretty awful. I shot a 1 gallon milk jug full of water at 250 yards and the bullet when through the milk jug without even blowing off the cap. 6mm in 6mm out. I shot the jug 3 or 4 times thinking I was missing or something, but I could ring a 3-inch steel with ease. When I went down range the jug had several holes and the cap was still on it. Needless to say that would not be a good hunting bullet. Need something that will expand at least some.

Hornady's 6mm 103 grain ELD-X projectile has a published G1 BC = 0.512 and a G7 BC = 0.258. The ELD-X series are hunting bullets, the X is for eXpanding. The corresponding match bullet line by Hornady is ELD-M, where the M is for Match.

I own two rifles chambered for. 243 Winchester but I haven't fired any Hornady projectiles from them.

I have purchased some Underwood. 243 Winchester ammunition loaded with the 6mm 90 grain Nosler Accubond with G1 BC = 0.376 with a published muzzle velocity of 3200 fps but I haven't used it yet.

Hope that gives you some start.

I've never used any Berger bullets but they offer 6mm options in up to 115 grain weight. There are personal choices in terms of terminal effects vs game hunted that factor in beyond BC for me. I'm unlikely to choose to hunt feral hogs, crocodilians, and anything classified as Dangerous Game of any size with Berger hunting bullets of any diameter or weight. Same with whether trophy quality, hide / pelt quality, or meat yield is the variable seeking optimization on a given hunt.

Excellent group. 112gr is pretty heavy for 6mm, but I only shoot the 6mm Rem. Let's see if you can replicate those results!
There was certainly some luck in that group and I was in some of the best conditions possible for shooting (indoor 200 yard range on a very heavy shooting bench makes a world of difference). The last time out shooting with my brother sighting in his new rifle the best I managed was .68 MOA at 100 yards in the outdoors on a moderately windy day on a portable shooting bench. Conditions make a difference for sure.

Looks like the Hornady ELD-x and Berger Hunter will be early candiates. Any other bullets I should be considering? My brother just started working up an 178 gr ELD-x load for his 308 gun with good results in early testing.

Oh and I just clicked over to Berger website and was greeted with a splash screen advertising a new 6mm hunting bullet, 108gr.
https://bergerbullets.com/new-6mm-108-grain-elite-hunter/ <- that looks promising.
