Is it possible to do the ruger plunger mod to an 1858 Remington? You dont have the backstrap to cover the hole, but I would imagine you could drill and tap the hole for some sort of a set screw? Im not having any problems but I was just curious. I did the mod on my '51 Navy and everything went well. Works perfect. I did a google search but I couldn't find anything pertinent. Thank you . Kevin.

Don't know excatly what mod your talking about, I'm a little dense as of late
No comments from you Mykeal, but here is my mod to keep the cylinder pin
in. Just a ball bearing detent.

Who, me?;)

I think he means the Ruger single action hand plunger mod to replace the hand spring - one of Larson Pettifogger's modifications to the Pietta Colts. Off hand (pun intended, of course), I can't think of any reason you couldn't make that mod to a Remington.

Yes sir, you are correct mykeal. I just didnt know if anyone has been down that street before and had pictures they would like to share. Kevin.
