There is a gunshow about 10 minutes from me this weekend and if i can find one, was thinking of trading my pm9 for a glock 19.

Been wanting a g19, and even though i really like my pm9 and i would probably regret trading it, i dont have money to buy a g19 and probably wont for a long time. Its compactness and light weight and ease of carry are pretty much the reasons i would miss it, but i dont really shoot it much. I believe the g19 would see a lot more use.

Anyway, while the above paragraph really has nothing to do with the purpose of the thread, could i expect an even trade for a g19?

I bought it brand new in 2005 and even though it had some issues, after a trip back to Kahr the failures to return to battery and the barrel peening are gone. Kahr installed tru-dot night sights for free because of their screw up. It has stainless slide, and only about 700 rounds through it. No visible dings or scratches. Also still has the original box and mags, etc.

Would i be realistic to ask for an even trade on a new or used g19, with or without night sights? From what i've seen, even though mine is used, a pm9 brand new usually goes for more than a g19. Especially with night sights. Just looking for opinions. Thanks.

So you're saying if i were to do a trade like that, i wouldn't be out of line to ask for the g19 plus a few bucks?

I think it would be the right thing to do. But it doesnt mean that your gonna get it. Being "high cap" and possibly "banned" the dealer will probably be charging an arm and leg for the G19.

Basically, I would pray for a trade +money, hope someone wants the trade, and settle for an even trade if I had too.

Cool. Thats actually kind of better news than i was expecting.

Somehow i feel like no one will give me a trade + money, and definately expect a fuss just to get an even trade. I dont know. We will see. Having second thoughts about it though. I would miss this little thing :)

Thanks for the replies.

u

should list it on this forum under the buy sell and trade section and on ar15.com equipment for sale section. You can sell that gun in a hearbeat.

I love my PM9 and u will love ur G19. I have one of those to but I carry my PM9 24/7 where as the G19 is just a great range gun and home defense gun.

You will miss the PM9 IMO,but that being said, they will not trade you even IMO even though your PM9 is about $200 higher in msrp price, the glock will sell quicker for a dealer than most kahrs. You have to want a kahr to appreciate the quality and the price, Everyone seems to think they have to have a glock of some type.
U stand a better chance of getting a decent price for it on the gun forums than trading it IMO, little more effort needed to sell on line but he results will pay for itself and you can also find a G19 on these forums at a better price than most dealers also.

My PM9 has 19,500 rounds through it and I would not trade it for 3 glocks and I love glocks to buth the PM9 is just one shootin S.O.B.

good luck
