I have been loading 223 for quite some time. I picked up a 223 Wylde chambered upper. I have a bunch of PMC 223 brass available to me. I have used up my LC, FC, Rem, and WIN on my other 223 chambered rifles accuracy loads. Does anyone have experience with accuracy loads using PMC 223 brass? Not looking for load data, just brass quality.

TIA

I had some range pickups that I loaded a couple of times. I thought that it was decent brass.

I use any brass that I havebpicked up and shoot it until it fails. This year I might be useing a 223 in Remington 788 and will choose one head starmp for hunting.
But for plinking I use them all.

I sorted out all my 223 cases by headstamp, and had a decent amount of PMC brass, so I worked up some loads with them. I had very good results with them, as good or maybe little better than anything I had tried before. It is good brass IMHO.

I think it’s at least as good LC or Winchester.
Seems well made and consistent. Lifespan of them for me is as good as anything

These groups were made a couple weeks ago using my new "SPR" upper (WOA barrel) 77 Sierra OTM and TAC (thrown charges). The PMC brass was annealed, FL sized on my Dillon and trimmed using a Giraud Tr-Way trimmer. Primer pockets and flasholes weren't touched. Basically the same prep I use for my 3Gun match ammo:

It works for me. I have a lot of it and I also use it for my coyote hunting loads.

. . . 223 Wylde chambered upper.
So, an AR? Yes, it'll be perfectly fine. It's not nearly as consistent as iso-year LC, but it's significantly tougher than most commercial brass.

Unless you're already subMOA, you won't notice the difference. Yes, I've measured.

Yes PMC brass is as good as most and better than some. Don't have to worry about primer pocket crimp. I weighed 100 cases once just to see how consistent they were and they were within +/- two grains so pretty consistent.

I have been saving and processing PMC and GFL 223 brass to use as a starting point because I still don't have a primer pocket reamer which I hope will be here this week.

I have found two distinct headstamps with both the PMC and the GFL and have those sorted as well and will keep them as separate lots for tracking and load development. Not worried about case life expectancy as I can pick this stuff up daily.
