I'm figuring that some of you out there own the new poly pocket marvels (lcp/bg380 etc) as well as some of the small commie era classics (cz82, p63, p64 etc)

My question is this -- if the purpose of ownership is pocket carry and possible car gun duty and you had it all to do over again with an est. $400 budget, would you buy a bodyguard 380 or two of the classic pistols?

The new 380s seem nice, are smaller and lighter etc but it's hard to dispute the value of the older guns and they have pretty cool historical ties as well. I'm at an impasse :banghead:

A few things.....The Com-Bloc pistols are too big and heavy for a pocket. IMO

Pocket pistols aren't much good when buckled in your car. Try to get one out in a hurry.

For a car/truck gun, I like my CZ-82 a whole lot better than my LCP and I like the LCP for one thing only, it slides in a pocket like a dream. ;)

The best pocket carry piece pound for pound and dollar for dollar is the Kel Tec PF-9 in my opinion. I mean like isn't that what every one is trying to copy again these days. Ruger copied the Kel Tec .380 before and Kimber is playing follow the leader also. At least Kel Tec has found and fixed all the bugs already. They got my money. It is just good common sense.
