I take a bit of a different look at a pocket gun. To me a pocket gun is a last ditch and/or deep concealment firearm and as such, your tactics with one change.
I dont really give a rip about caliber, more about size or the gun and range of practical use. If you need a pocket gun, you had better be right up to your target, like barrel in the eye close or else you should have evaded or used your main carry piece. With that in mind, when you are taking the save your ass at the last chance shot with your barrel behind an ear, all it needs to do is fire. I dont see needing 11 rounds in a pocket gun. We talk about if its a small caliber, you want alot of shots on COM, which i agree with if we are not talking pocket guns. Two to six rounds of .38 is enough to end the threat, recover the perps or your own main weapon, and keep fighting if you need to keep fighting. I dont think Id try to engage multiple targets at various ranges with a sub caliber gun that doesnt have sights. AGAIN, this is only a senario when you are completely restricted to a tiny little gun and cannot carry your main weapon as you always should or else not be in that restricted place.
