True, but that first line has that perfect iambic pentameter ring to it...I'll think about it.

Your English skills are fine.

It is WAAAAY more important to be able to write something of value (which you have) than it is to be able to use technical language to describe the meter of a poem.

999 out of a thousand people who read your work won't know or care what the meter you use is called - they'll just know that they like the way it sounds. If you hadn't specifically mentioned iambic pentameter, even I wouldn't have gone back and counted feet until I had a chance to work on my own Raven project, and I am notoriously nitpicky about English.
