POF bolt destruction "pics"

I was cleaning it tonight and decided to hit the bolt and carrier group with a little love. To bad it didnt love me back, Those lines you see is actually missing metal. Or......something. Im not really sure what is going on here. I do know it wasnt like this a few months ago. Any ideas on what could cause this are welcome.
