Police Orgs. against AWB?

Hey guys and gals, I was wondering if anyone could give me direction to any police organization that opposes renewal of the assault weapons ban

I am aware of 2nd Am. Pd http://www.2ampd.net
but I was wondering about a more well known organizations and their stands on it
this would be most helpful for some research Im doing, thanks

on a related note, i found that the Fraternal Order of Police OPPOSSES:

H.R. 124 (Holt, D-NJ), the "Handgun Licensing and Registration Act," would require the licensing and registration of all handguns with the Federal government;

good on them
