Recently purchased a used mossberg, model designation 500 ATP. It appears to be constructed of stainless and aluminum, heavy constructed barrel, metal trigger group assembly, and standard magazine length (5+1). On the side is stamped "Surete Du Police Quebec" ,below that "C.A.I. Georgia VT." . It came with a synthetic forend and pistol grip (appears that it used to be a folding stock). Externally battered, internally, after a quick tear down and cleaning, the parts are barely used. Can someone tell me what exactly I have here? I've searched everywhere, but don't know what the ATP stands for and whether this is a stainless gun or not. Was this a military weapon? I ask because I'e always heard that only the Military mossberg's came with metal trigger group assembly. Appreciate any light anyone can shed on this.
Thanks
