I just love the posters from iansa.org, that U.N. gun ban group. They provide great comic relief reading too.

Mmm dehydrated water, just add water.

I remember seeing one in a revolver. You'll need a wheelgun to balance it out or people are gonna scream bloody murder :p

    Aha!

You finally made me remember what I was going to give to every anti I know when WWIII breaks out--that thing  The sights would need to be reversed, though, to make it align just so when being fired by them :p

    Cesiumsponge;

IF, I remember correctly, the revolver was referred to as a Smithinski & Wessonovich. I do remember seeing it & I suspect a google search will turn one up.

There, I've done my part. Please see if you can get Diane, Charles, Ted, & the aspirant to do the testing.

Yup, that's a direct theft from Oleg's website. The animals can't even come up with their own material :cuss:

We lost 65,000 lives due to the war? Huh? Do we even have that large of an army?

    Edit: Of course we do.

Edit again: What is the maker of that poster spouting? We haven't lost more than 1,800 soldiers.

Has anyone pointed this out to Oleg? I remember in recent memory one organization (Violence Policy Center) that used his images without permission and has ignored him. Another one, a magazine, apologized and said they wouldn't use the work of the person who used his pics without permission any more.

So based on this poster/t-shirt art from these IANSA schmucks

I thought I'd throw together my rebuttal.

(based on 2,000,000 self defensive firearm uses per year)

They have a higher resolution PDF version of that artwork on their web site ... I just might have to print it out, decopage it to a piece of wood and get me a clock kit :)

You were expecting creativity from leftist extremists? They've been trotting out the same failed "idea" for well over 150 years now.

Its frightening how absolutely wrong some people are on this issue

the rest of their posters and such can be seen here (most are PDFs)
    http://www.oxfam.org.uk/go/control_arms/

I can't help but think of the racist roots of gun control when I see these three posters:

    http://www.oxfam.org.uk/go/control_arms/downloads/new/Arms06.pdf
    http://www.oxfam.org.uk/go/control_arms/downloads/new/Arms07.pdf
    http://www.oxfam.org.uk/go/control_arms/downloads/new/Arms08.pdf

I can't help but think the real message here is "OMG! DARKIES GOTS TEH GUNS!"

The "we" that the poster is reffering to is the human race. Considering the stance of the U.N. i would not be at all suprised if american soldiers where deliberatly EXCLUDED from that number.

I'd like to see some statistics on the proportion of the killing and dying that Americans are doing over there. Reading between the lines, it seems like the various native factions are giving and taking the vast majority of the punishment. When does it become a civil war?

That is immaterial ... like all gun control groups they misuse "firearms death" stats.

They claim that around the world, someone dies every minute from guns ... first off I think its an amazing (and good) thing that the number is so low. But what the stat doesn't tell you is who is dying.

They would like you to think that everyone who is shot to death is an "innocent".

In one of their videos they show a man with an AK giving cover fire to a bunch of women and children (a still of which is used in the 2nd PDF I linked above).

So in my estimation (not knowing what's going on for sure in the video) it looks to me like anyone that guy kills deserves to die for firing on women and children.

Not all gun deaths are a bad thing ... not all those shot are "innocents" ... in fact in the US the vast majority of GSW "victims" are criminals, not Accountants, store clerks, soccer moms or children.

This thread is too stupid to live. Closed.

And I'm 1/4 Polish. Maybe I'm just too dumb to get the joke. Maybe I could ask some of the several thousand Polish special forces troops who are still on the ground in Iraq, who have probably supported the US more than any other country outside of the UK since the war began.
