Polish underfolder AK kit arrived!!!

Got my Polish underfolder AK kit today from Centerfire Systems. All matching serial numbers, chrome bore, bayo lug, slant brake, and the coolest looking underfolding buttstock around - all for $216 delivered to my door. This will be my first AK build, and I'm thinkin' that things are off to a good start.

I am so, so *stoked*.

I built one of those.
Mine was absolutely beautiful.
If it was fired prior to being destroyed, I would be amazed. It was like new.

I think you will save lots of time and effort if you can find a receiver or a flat kit with the holes cut for the underfolder stock parts. I can't remember who has them but I have seen them advertised. If you get the formed receiver you will need an FFL.

The only issue will be properly laying out and then drilling the holes for the underfolder itself. Measure three times and cut once. First step would be getting a template and checking it against your trunion once you get the old rivets out. template can be found

Cutting the receiver is cake. I just rivet in the trunnion and use it as a guide for the dremel.

What cutting? I thought it only needed holes drilled.....

the holes can either be drilled or cut. I use a mill to cut receivers for the underfolder trunion. a drill press with the proper bits will work just as well.
