This may be the stupidest question I have asked in some time, but my stupidity knows no bounds!
I have a Ruger New Vaquero SAA in polished stainless. I went with stainless over nickel so I don't have to worry about it cracking or pealing. The only thing I don't like about the stainless is its not as "pretty" (shiny) as nickel. A nickel plated SAA is one sexy looking firearm IMHO. The polished stainless on the Ruger is very dull in comparison. So I guess my questions are:
Is there a way (or a place) to polish the already polished stainless to get it looking like its nickel-plated?
Will this harm the pistol or stainless steel?
Is there any downside to doing it?
