I haven't been back in the states in a while, and so I wanted to catch up on the current status (on a state by state basis) and I figured the fastest way was via THR.

So please do this for me:

Name 2 (please don't give me the entire shopping list), just 2.

Two politicians from your state, and the offense to RKBA they have committed. Like this:

Feinstein (State Senator (CA)) ~ Trying to pass a .50Caliber ban.
Senator Gloria Romero (D – Los Angeles Senator) ~ Tried to pass a 5 cent tax PER BULLET.

So please list the name (Position they hold) ~ the offense, and if you wish, contact info.

Please refrain from the "they are pigs / swines / spawn of Satan" comments. We already know that, that's why they are on the list. I hope to generate a reference thread for future RKBA use. Thanks.

Public enemy no. 1 in Kansas, Governor Kathleen Sebelius. She vetoed the Personal and Family Protection Act, which would have made Kansas a shall-issue state. :cuss:

Illinois. Governor Rod Bolshevik, uhh, Blagojevich. While a US Rep for some Chicagoland district, he pushed a "pocket rocket" ban. For pushing various and sundry antigun measures while governor. BTW, the man he replaced, Gov. George Ryan (RINO) was no better.

Both our senators. Any number of Chicago representatives.

I've lived in OK for the past 19 years. I can't recall a single anti-gun action by any of the national level congress critters (they all get A or A+ ratings - even David Boren (D) when he was our Senator).

Can't say about the local yokels but I expect they are pretty much pro-gun too.

Sorry - if OK has any anti Pols I'm not aware of them.

In Arizona

John McCain for McCain-Lieberman (gunshow bill).

Although perhaps reformed, Senator Jon Kyl voted for the 1994 Crime Bill as a whole even though he initially voted against the specific AW/mag ban contained therein. And wouldn't you know it...the NRA gave him an A-rating...pre-arranged.

On a local level, we have more than a few anti-gun state legislators, mayors, council, cops, judges, prosecutors...

Loretta Weinberg - Assemblywoman - Teaneck, NJ The nation's hidden agenda queen.
Jim McGreevey - Governor of New Jersey One of his campaign promises was, complete with Clinton-like hand gestures, "There will be no concealed carry guns in New Jersey".

Debbie Stabenow (D - MI - Senator)
Carl Levin (D - MI - Senator):

Voted for the AWB rider to S 1805. Voted for the "AP" ammo rider for S 1805.

Both prominently display their anti-gun agenda on their websites. It's not hard to find out where they stand on the issue.

I'm sure you've already heard of Senators Kerry and Kennedy so how about

SENATOR
JARRETT T. BARRIOS. From the PR of Cambridge he's pushing hard for an expanded state AWB. Also state rep Linsky has his name on a lot of bad bills.

What Moparmike said.

Blanche Lincoln voted for two of the horrible riders attached to gun lawsuit protection bill....

The renewal of the AWB and the one requiring ALL private sales of ALL firearms to go through NICS.

And Lincoln is up for re-election.

Can't complain about the Texas senators. Both are pretty good about RKBA. John Cornyn and Kay Hutchinson both voted against the anti-gun amendments in S1805.

Sheila Jackson Lee in the House is a disgrace to Texans though. :barf: Pretty much any socialist, anti-American, or anti-gun cause has her support.

Missouri

"OTB" One Term Bob Holden, governor.... vetoed the concealed carry bill. Overridden. OTB

John Ashcroft...... defeated for senate in MO by a dead guy. Went on to AG wherin he proclaimed that 2A was an individual right and then did nothing about it.

Ohio

U.S. Sen's DeWine & Voinovich...both voted FOR the AWB renewal when attached to the so-called Gun Manufacturers Legal Commerce bill.

S 1805 (I think or was it 1085?) was the final version voted upon. Sen sKerry came back from the campaign trail to voted on this bill & amendments.

You beat me to it foghorn. I just recently wrote to DeWine and Voinovich concerning the sunset of the AWB. I have yet to hear back from either but I am sure it will be the same response I got last year when I wrote to them.

California-
Attorney General Bill Lockyer
Secretary of State Kevin Shelley.

Only 2? We've got LOTS more here. How about we send you some of them? We have enough to supply all 50 states...........

Senator Herb Kohl (D-WI), author of one of the original "gun free school zone" bills, and also an author of a mandatory trigger lock bill. Claims to support the "rights of hunters and sportsmen."

Senator Russ Feingold. Voted for every gun-control bill since his election in 1990. Now claims to be against an AW ban renewal (he's running for re-election). Also co-author of the greatest assault on the 1st Amendment.

Bobs1066 beat me to it with governess Siebelius. There are a HOST of Kansas RINOs that helped her but not the boys from JF county. The previous gov Graves was an anti too,at least by my standards.Boy,do I miss Oklahoma....
