For those of you that keep a bedside pistol do you keep it in a holster?

I keep all mine holstered just in case I reach for the remote or something else on the nightstand or the cats decide they want to climb all over it.

This does bring up a problem as I have to use both my hands, one to pull it out while the other holds the holster. The holsters are both tight fitting so there is no way for me to quickly take it out with only one hand.

Now some of my revolvers are in belt holsters slung over the bed posts that can be drawn one handed. This is also how my wifes side is.

How do you keep yours?

Two are unholstered. One is holstered. The one on the nightstand is holstered. The two between the matress and bed frame/slats/whatever are not.

Three are holstered, one is not. That is probably because I haven't bought a holster for the Kahr yet. I've though about getting some of those under-desk mount holsters and mounting them vertically in the night stand so you can reach in and pull the gun out. The way the night stand is built would conceal the gun pretty well if it was set up like that.

My .45 Colt revolver is in a holster that has been affixed to the side of my bedroom nightstand. I can reach over while in bed, less than 1 foot away and grab it with one hand.

Maverick 88 loaded with 00 buck is right next to it.

Hope I never need them.

I keep my CZ in the drawer of my nightstand .only thing in the drawer (except the spare mag) always facing the same way. I've woke up W/ it in my hand ( which is why I don't sleep W/it chambered)

I use a Bianchi M12 military flap holster. It protects the pistol well and allows easy access.

All three holstered. My duty G34 w/ TLR1 sits on the night stand, my P226R sits on the floor next to the bed, and my P7M8 sits in a holster attached to the bed frame. My P7 stays on the bed, and the ONLY time I ever take it with me is when the wife and are are both going out together and even then not always. My P7 is the guaranteed gun in next to the bed when I'm not there. My sig and glock occasionally both go to the range to work with me.

I keep mine in a holster because it goes from the bedroom to the safe in the morning and back to the bedroom at night. With all that handling it keeps things from getting scratched, dented, damaged, etc.

Doesn't fit in the holster with the light attached.

I used to keep it holstered

last week a drunk dude looking for the gal next door was banging on my window, if he had bashed thru I would have had to go for the knife first

Glock19, on night table, rests on a writing pad, I can see the TruGlo sights in the dark, after shower, holstered till bed time. Sure-Fire G2 as well, same as the one always on belt next to spare Glock17 magazine.

I keep my pants on the floor by the bed so my CCW piece is holstered, in the pants, usually laying on the ground with the grip up in the air for easy removal.

Yes, but the M4 is not. Same at home, but the Remi 12 Ga is not. The pistol is holstered because there it is ready for the next day. If there is a problem at night it will be the long gun that I will reach for. Pistols have their uses but a long gun is better nearly every night of the week.

Keep mine in a holster...just force of habit I think.
It's also in a small mounted safe but I've practiced pulling the gun, catching the edge of the holster on the safe door and pulling the holster off. Works fine for me.

Holstered, because I don't know what I do in my sleep. Hopefully the extra step and blocked trigger access will keep me from answering my gun in a phone dream or something.

No holster. My and my wife's EDC gun(s) go on each of our night stands when we go to bed.
