Poor Bullet Placement

Now he'll never get through airport security. But more seriously it is often difficult to get the point across that in hunting or self defense that proper bullet placement comes first , more important than which cartridge or how many rounds.

the man carries 300 grams of bullets inside his body and is being called "the man with 11 lives" by hospital staff

:what: I wonder if it made any difference to the medical staff if the bullets were HP or lead :what:

Downside> Stes off every metal detedtor in creation especially at airports.

Upside> Can make money as the human marracca(spelling). He must rattle when he walks!:D

Somebody up there likes this guy.;)

Obviously none of them were from a .45 ACP!! ;) Otherwise this hombre would have been dead with the first hit!!!

Seriously, he definitely is one lucky fellow. Hope he doesn't need to travel too much by air. Could pose a problem. But imagine the movie and book deals coming up! :D

No he was hit by something far more potent.:scrutiny:

If his Bolivian doctors are correct, our man has 11 bullets inside him weighing about 300 grams.

This means each of the bullets weigh about 27.272 grams.

1 avoirdupois ounce equals 28.350 grams!

1 avoirdupois grain equals 0.064799 grams.

Each of the bullets is therefore 420.88 grains.:what: The standard load for the .45 ACP is of course 230 grains, just over a half ounce of lead and copper.

Someone's guesstimating is wrong. My money is on the doctors not knowing how much the bullets weigh. :banghead:

Poor Bullet Placement can easily be overcome by the following:
1. Ultra Custom Race-Tech Handguns made exclusively for you by voodoo monks... the guns MUST have been on the cover or in a two page spread in AMERICAN HANDGUNNER.
2. Loading it with the Uber-Deadly XTREME Majic deathray 4000 bullets - JUST LIKE THE UNNAMED SPECIAL OPERATIONS PROFESSIONALS use.

Money CAN buy skills!

Maybe they were off by a decimal. If they meant 30 grams then that would work out to only 42 grains... rounding close to a .22 caliber maybe?
Not sure about lead poisoning. I'd be worried about the jagged edges of the expanded/deformed bullets digging into something and worming around. I suppose if they were jacketed ball it wouldn't be as bad.

 It would be very interesting to see a full body x-ray of this guy.

I agree, somebody up there is looking out for this guy.

I once ran a call where two guys were laying right inside the door of an apartment. They had been shot 17 times between the two of them. It appeared to me like someone rang the door bell and when they answered, the guy emptied a 9mm handgun into both of them. All but a couple of the shots hit the arms and legs. One guy was hit in the abdoman and would have died eventually without treatment, but neither one was on the ropes right then. I am sure they both walked out of the hospital, one of them probably within a day or two.
