Some threads recently on the gun friendly PM. The current issue answers (in part) a question that has stumped the members of this and one other forum--what is an Interstate coach gun? They have a brief article on the history of coach guns and current offerints.

I haven't read the magazine in some time, but a look at their web page is interesting. Maybe I'll take up reading magazines again. Tired of technical journals anyway.

PM anyway. They've always been pro-firearm. A 'Coach gun' has always been a short barreled shotgun. Be it a blunderbuss or a side by side.

Ahhh, PM. I dropped them when they started articles on "Alien Technology" the the like.
;)

I had a question about a specific coach gun advertised at Big 5, the Interstate brand. Only one person seems to know them and the first other reference I've found is PM. No details, just mentions it is Chinese made.

HEck, I bought that issue just because of the editorial that they will always bring firearm articles to print, when they feel they are relevant to the magazine.

That's all I would ever ask of anyone.

I have an Interstate Coach Gun. I think it's also known as a Norinco model 99. It's a side by side 12 gauge shotgun with 20 inch barrels, 2 triggers, and exposed hammers. I use it in Cowboy Action Shooting. Got it at Big 5 in Tucson for $199.
