I have a chance to bid on a Blackhawk Bisley model in 41 magnum with what looks like a 7.5 inch ported barrel. (Can't examine it until tomorrow.) I have a regular Blackhawk in 41 mag.

Is there any big advantage to the Bisley model? Never used one.
I shoot 95% hard cast bullets at moderate velocities. Does that matter with a ported barrel?

Thanks for any help.

Jeff

The shape of the Bisley stock significantly reduces muzzle flip/roll up of the gun in your hand. That recoil still has to go somewhere, so more of it goes straight back at your forearm. The advantages/disadvantages of the Bisley stock must be debatable, because they are certainly debated. ;)
