Possessing a firearm on a felon's land?

Hi there,

I have a friend who I do not think is allowed to possess firearms because of a felonious past. To the best of my knowledge, he does not.

I am interested in hunting on his land, and was curious about whether it's fine for there to exist a firearm on his property (one that does not belong to him and is not in his possession).

Second, what if I end up living for an extended period in another residence on the land? Could I keep guns there?

Check your state laws, but as long as the 'felon' does not have access to the firearms, especially while you are not around to control his access, you should be fine.
