11 - 82 = November 1982.

DA = Dominion Arsenal, Québec, Canada

But it closed shortly after the end of WWII in 1945.

You sure it says DA?
Or 82?

This isn't a 30-06 case. It's something else. The case is about 1/2" shorter than an 06 , but the neck dia is about the same. It could be like a swiss 7x57?

The 11 is at 12:00 the 82 is at 6:00 and A is at 3:00 and D is at 9:00

This isn't a 30-06 case.
Now you tell me!

I have no idea what you have without a picture or some case measurements.

A 7x57 would be a .284" dia bullet, not a .308" dia bullet like a 30-06.

Measure & post photos and somebody might have a clue.

Good grief!

You had the answer all along and just got around to asking us to figure it all out again 5 years later????

How about you smash the brass and recycle it and it won't come up again in 2018! :banghead:

I probably should! lol I still cant find anyone that has a need for it. It is Berdan so that cuts out 99% of the reloaders in the world.

Send them to me postage paid and I'll smash them flat and recycle them for you!

I already wasted more time then that trying to figure out what 30-06 cases they could possible be.

But, NOOO.

They are Berdan primed 7.5 Swiss, as you already knew 5 years ago!!

Never mind!
It's late.

Me gone now.

What bums me out is the AFTE web site Image gallery under exam resources is no longer open to the general public. I used to use it to look up headstamps.:(

It was a good source of information. High traffic on their servers from outside the USA?? This is Association of Firearms and Tool Marks NOT the BATFE
