Possible to get a "kydex draw" from a leather holster?

Hey all

I was just wondering if there are any treatements/tips/tricks to get a smoother, quicker draw (like that from a kydex holster) from a leather holster (a DeSantis Cozy Partner in my case).

If the holster is just too tight, apply a couple of layers of blue masking tape to the gun in the tight spots and leave it in the holster over-night to stretch it.

Try Kiwi neutral shoe polish (neutral is clear/cream colored) inside the holster. It's basically a wax.

Won't the shoe-polish make the leather too soft? I've read [material by the manufacturer] that if the holster too soft it won't hold the gun as well.

Any oily type of leather treatment will soften leather, and that's bad for holsters. Kiwi neutral (in a flat little metal tin) is more like a wax and does not soften the leather at all. Beltman actually recommends it for his custom belts. I have used it on a leather holster with no ill effect and no softening.
