Is it possible to eliminate or reduce the wear marks on the cylinder of a revolver caused by the pawl, other than never pulling the trigger? I only ask because I just bought my very first wheel gun, a stainless GP100, and the thought of scratching that shiny, new finish is a little unsettling! Would polishing the pawl be of any help? Or are the drag marks inherent to the design, and are deemed "character marks" of a well-used revolver?
