1)Your picture isn't bad at all-as I can tell that your Pre-10 is definately an nice gun!

2)I understand what you mean about the flash! With my camera I must leave the flash on or else the picture will always come out too dark with blued guns!. However, my camera takes great pictures of stainless or nickel guns without needing the flash!

3)I love those older(Very exquisite!)grips on your Pre-10! Those aren't original to your gun are they?

They're actually ancient aftermarket Franzites. Maybe the flash wasn't such a bad idea.

My set of three post war M&P's

Although I knew that I had put away a couple of other post war M&P's, I had almost forgotten about them. So, today I dug them out of storage to compare them with my newly acquired 5-inch M&P. This is the first time that I had ever put these guns together-and, I'm startled to find that all three of these M&P's are virtually identical in terms of their "Mintness"! The 2"(s/n S844168)and the 6"(s/n S844874)are only 706 numbers apart! I already posted the s/n above(S955606)for the 5" M&P. Following are some pictures of this group of M&P's that I took this morning. I hope that you fellow M&P "Enthusiasts" will enjoy seeing these?:

Slick... A hint.

Go outside to take your pictures. Pick a semi-cloudy day, or an area that's shaded. Use a background that's in the middle between dark and light.

And turn off the flash....

If you must use the flash, back off at least 6 feet, and then crop the finished picture.

1)Thanks for giving me some good advice regarding taking better pictures and in properly using the flash on my camera-whenever the flash becomes necessary(Or, if desired?)!

I recently came across a S&W 1905 m&p (unknown serial# or date of manufacture) with 6" barrel, 85%+ condition, with plastic grips, possibly round butt and hand ejector. I did not inspect the gun because I was preoccupied with something else and I have no knowledge of the pricing on these pre-model 10's, but now the seed of doubt has been planted. Maybe I walked away from a good deal? I realize it's hard to price an unseen gun but the sticker was $195. Can anyone give me a fair range of values for these revolvers?

Not that it detracts from it any, but I think yours is a FOUR screw.

It's the side screws plus the one at the trigger guard--right, Xavier?

Nope, it's a five screw. The fourth sideplate screw is covered by the grip.
