Kimber .45 - Shot recoil spring plug into eyebrow. Drew blood.

Found my dad's remington 1100 in the garage along with about 150 rounds of Smith & Wesson Ammo company manufacture 30.06 rifle ammo, and 50 rounds of S&W 12 gauge ammo.

Remington 1100 - Barrel has unusually sharp edges. Cut a gash in my thumb.

Simunitions. The pain is only temporary, but the chicks dig the scars.

I had a nice accident with a .22 revolver while drunken last summer. Sorry, won't post the pics. Since I deleted them shortly afterwards. Too embarrassed!!

It was sort of a close one though! But then they all are around me. I'm dangerous!!!

And yes, chicks do dig the scars!

Working the stiff mag-catch on my Remington 7400 the first day at the range made my hand sore?

I once fired a 12-guage, and I stayed on my feet buy my cousin fell on *her* butt!

Pretty much it, I've been pretty safe & lucky.

Tried som CCI Stinger in a Erma M1-22 last summer, for the first time, always used just standard velocity in it.
Well, took aim, fired.. BANG.. bright white flash, and I was bleeding from my face.

Never knew what the hell happened, but Im back to standard velocity :D
Deleted pictures though.. :(

btw, first post! Hello;)

Caught a .22LR in the back when I was 17. Hunting accident. Both parties (me and my friend) violated nearly all safety rules out of carelessness.
Fortunately, there was no lasting effects.
Let me tell you, even a .22LR hurts like heck!!

I sliced one of my fingers open pretty well with my FAL, the charging handle rails on the reciever were very sharp and I didnt have any bandaids at the range. As luck would have it, as soon as my brother and I had all our gear back in the truck and were ready to leave, the bleeding stopped (it had been oozing at a pretty good rate before that).

Numerous scrapes, minor cuts and bruises from doing stupid stuff in the shop while working on guns.

Everytime out

My best friend (non-shooter) allows the web of his shooting hand to raise up and get knicked by the slide everytime out.
I always remind him stay bellow the tang and avoid the knick.

My Glock 26 took a chunk off of my brother-in-law's left thumb when he shot it.

He was using a 2 hand hold and his left thumb rode up into the slide stop somehow.

I could not replicate the accident if I tried, at first I could not figure out how he did it but there he was with a bleeding thumb knuckle with a chunk of meat still hanging, about the size of the slide stop.

The way I figured it out was by looing at his hold again, and seeing a small piece of skin still clinging to the stop.

berreta tomcat,,,

nice slice between thumb and forefinger from the slide

first shot at the range,,,bled everywhere

replaced it with a p32, hasn't happen since

i'll have to remember to show some chicks the scar and see if they dig it,,,

fyi,,,when some people grip a gun, the web between thumb and forefinger bulges up and can be cut by the slide, on others its actually concave or goes down in a "U" kind of configuration and the slide will clear no problem

,,,nothing you can do about it, genetics,,,

i felt it was better to have a gun that i KNOW won't cause that cut problem so i don't have to try to remember to grip it correctly (so i won't get cut) in an emergency

oh,,,i got bit real good a couple of times trying to get the 870 action back together too,,,now that i think about it,,,

Way back when I was doing my compulsory military service in the Swedish air force, we had a long field exercise. After not sleeping for a few days, you get kind of careless....
I slammed open the folding stock of my AK5 (modified FNC) with my thumb in the joint. It cracked like an egg, bleeding profusely. Got it taped together but it wouldn't stop bleeding for the entire night. It healed up just fine though I do have a scar from it.

Aside from minor pokes and scrapes, the only real one was from an AMT Backup .40 that belongs to a friend of mine that I shot at the range (the gun, not the friend). Holding the pistol in a normal firing grip, the slide would come back and slice my hand. Yeow!

Left a mark for about a month.

I shot a 45-70 derrenger that twisted out of my hand a giged me with the hammer spur. And I was then dumb enough to shoot it again with my other hand! :banghead:

Took a chunk out of my right thumb with a '97 Winchester when I forgot about the bolt.

Have had the odd hot round of brass down the shirt at various times over the years, and blistered myself on hot barrels a few times. Fourtunatly (knock wood) no ADs or NDs that drew any blood. Rule #2 is my religion.

My father showed me how to handle an M1 without getting my thumb bit off. He saw a few fellow Jarheads get a dose of "M1 thumb" and made up his mind NOT to join that particular club.

Ive got two.

I couldn't get a good grip on a friends NAA mini revolver in .22LR and tried shifting my grip to pull the trigger with middle finger while using my forefinger to steady the pistol by bracing it along the cylinder. Of course that put the tip of my finger beside the barrel cylinder gap. Blood blister.

@#$%!

Savage model 24 rifle/shotgun combo in .22 mag. over 20 ga mag. Lying prone, I had my eye screwed down pretty tight on the scope expecting to shoot the rifle at the groundhog 100 yards in front of me. I'm pretty sure the shotgun blast had no effect on the groundhog, but I've still got the scar in my eyebrow and that was thirty two years ago.

IDIOT!

The only real injuries I have sustained while shooting or related activities are;
1. Scope eyebrow, I have a scar to show for this one.
2. Major shoulder bruise from repeated alldaylong shooting of bigbore rifles.

I had fun getting hurt.:D

Ouchie...

I got nailed, twice, by ejected shells.

The dealio was that I was testing out new 3rd party mags (promag) in my P245.

The small cut was from the last shell in the first mag, and the larger half moon cut is from the last shell in the second mag.

After putting a bandaid on, I packed them into my range bag, and never used them again.

I always wear my "eyes" along with my "ears", and I've added the "baseball hat" to the ensemble as a result of this.

As for chicks digging scars:

geeketteWithA9mm: Oh, gawd. What did you do to yourself this time?

Recently recieved three stitches after trying to be cool and shoot Bowlcut's SW99 upside down. The slide ripped my right paw open.

I had my nose broken when it impacted with a MILES transmitter mounted on my GI M4. We were at Ft. Knox training for our Kosovo rotation. During a squad lane meant to simulate a riot, some of the 'civilians' pulled one of the soldiers away from our formation. Myself and another NCO went to pull the soldier back. A 'civilian' grabbed my weapon and tried to take it away. While wresting it away from him, I slipped on the ice. At the same time, the 'civilian' let go, and the other NCO slipped and bumped my elbow. The muzzle went up and back and didn't stop until it hit my nose. Let me tell ya, that hurt!
