Powder Charg??

Waiting for flints to arrive so can see how This Tower pistol shoot. Thgought I'd throw out the question on how much is too much and how much is not enough. I plannedto load up 50 g of 3f Balck under buck/n Ball lod.So is 50 to low or two high.

50 grains would be a good Proof Load in a .69 caliber Tower Pistol.

35-40 grains would be more like it I think.

But 30 grains and work up to what you can stand would be more prudent.
And I doubt you can stand 50 grains.

RC, I beg to differ with ya on 50 grns. of 3f BP being a proof load, it may be a bit stout, for a 69 cal. Tower pistol with buck and ball but I've shot a buddies with 60 grns with just ball (equivalent of BB shot). The recoil was quite stout but definitely not unmanagerable. Like RC stated you'd be best to start at a light powder charge and work your way up.
