Powder Charge Question in .45 ACP

I went to the Alliant website to find out the powder charge for 200 gr LFP bullet using Bullseye ...

While not specifically that round they listed the 200gr LSWC for 4.6 grains of Bullseye.
My Hornady manual starts the same bullet at 4.6 grains and cranks it up to 6.3 grains at the max.
Now. Here's the deal. I very much enjoy mild recoiling and controllable .45 rounds.

So, for you really experienced .45 reloaders, here's the questions:

What's your recommended load for this combination?

Bullseye powder and 200gr LFP bullets?

I don't use that profile, but 4.6 is a starting load if you are running a stock recoil spring. Go up from there.

Target guns with light springs can start with 3.8gr of Bullseye. In general, 4.6 to 5.0 gr. works well.

cranks it up to 6.3 grains at the max.

6.3 gr sounds really HOT to me.

That is exceedingly interesting! Does it cycle reliably? I imagine recoil is very, very manageable.

My favorite load for a while has been 4.5 GR of Bullseye with a 200 LSWC. My Randall has a fresh Wolff standard weight spring and it's 100% reliable. (so far)

I find that a 1911 with the stock 16# spring will cycle very light loads and still handle near Max loads. Very flexible gun that too many stick too heavy a recoil spring in and then blast away with full power 230gn bullets and miss out on the real joy of a 1911.

3.8gr of Bullseye with a 200gr LSWC are accurate and cycle my Springfield just fine.

4.0 Grs of Bullseye, a CCI 300 primer, and either a lead or "moly" 200 Gr SWC bullet will shoot very well. It's light, but it cycles my guns. A WLP works, but the CCI seems more accurate.

The 4 grains of Bullseye functions perfectly in my Glock 21 and Hi-Point carbine. I shot many rounds in a Colt Gold Cup that I bought while I was in the Navy and wish I still had. It also works om my younger brother's 80 series Colt and a Ruger.

My older brother in San Antonio brought me his friends Colt that was field striped disassembled. The owner could not get it back together. I assembled the Colt and fired it for function with the same loads. It was military model Colt that had been made into a match pistol. I saw one for sale at Cabela's in Buda for $2,495 in a wooden box.

I use 5.0 Bullseye with 200 gn Berrys FP. Works like a charm in my Colt XSE.
