It's been a couple of decades since I cast any lead but I'm thinking about jumping back in. The last projectiles that I was casting were for a 100 caliber BP Canon. These slugs weighed in at about 1 pound and were paper patched.

Back in those days we had never heard of powder coating. What do I need to get started with powder coating?

A Tupperware bin for tumbling the batch of bullets, powder coating powder, a container of air soft plastic bb’s, a cookie sheet with a rack and a toaster oven.

Shake and Bake.:)

This is a little different, but I really like the SWCs I buy with this applied to them.

It’s a little more involved than powder coat, the same basic process just using a liquid coat instead of powder, but it’s cleaner in the firearm.

That's it. I will say you want an old fashion strong Tupperware, because the shaking gets to be somewhat vigorous.

Mine's about 5" square, with enough airsoft pellets to make two layers. Add Hazard Fraught Red PC, 25-50 bullets depending on size, and shake away.

HiTek is also a cool product, but I still gravitate to PC. You should try both at some point.

First thing I did was went to craigslist and got a toaster oven.

I switched from powder coat to the hi-tek coating fairly early.
