i've got a lb of imr4195 and 4895 sitting at my grandparents house. my grandfather used these for his .222. how well will they work for the .221 fireball? i also will be buying a lb of 'lil gun to test out as well.
Any of the 3 should work well in the little case. 4895 would be best with heavier bullets. I do not have my data here with me, but as memory serves me, 18g of H4198 was good from 40g bullets thru 52g. Work em up.
The 221 Remington Fireball seems to really like IMR-4198 and IMR-4227 with bullets around the 50 gr. weight range. Accurate Arms 1680 is also a good powder....
Be careful with Li'Gun in a fireball. It'll be on the raggedy edge of detonation. (It's a progressive powder and pressures rise sharply in fireball sized cases).
