Powder measuring inaccuracy - Cure?

I use an RCBS UniFlow and Lee scoops but it seems that the cylndical powders (Varget,H335) measure inconsistently. It's always within 1-2grains but for long range shooting, that just doesn't cut it. It's very tedious to measure/pour each load.
Do other measuring tools work better or the same?

Try using the RCBS powder baffle with your Uniflow Powder Measure. I see about +/-0.3 to 0.4 grains with extruded powder. I switch all my loads over to either ball, spherical or flake just because of the variance.

I have the RCBS uniflow with the baffle inside. I use ball, flake and extruded without any problems.

I use H335 for reloads in my M4 Bushy.

MM: I've been using the same Uniflow for 20 years. It's as accurate today as when it was new. For accurately metering extruded rifle propellants like Varget, I don't know how you can get away from using a Powder Trickler and weighing individual charges. Are you having problems metering H335, and which of the two cavities are you using in the Uniflow?

If you want an accurate powder measure that most top bench rest shooters use, get a Harrel.

Otherwise, I suggest weighing each load, unless you are loading for semiauto pistol and semiauto rifle cartridges of 223, 308 or 30 carbine.
